He explains that eternal life is knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom He sent, and furthermore we can know Him and have a taste of eternal life right now!

How safe do you feel in your relationships? Last year, ECFI 1.5 Generation Congregation’s vision was to build a community of trust and transparency. I wonder how much of it has come true in your relationships, or does it seem like an unachievable goal?

She reminded us that our present suffering and the injustice in life are actually preparing us to receive God's promises and blessing for our lives. Let us choose to stay in God's protection and not be rushed to take matters into our own hands.
Alex Guo shared with the 1.5 Generation Congregation at EFCI on the topic of “From Sadness to Praise” from the book of Psalm. All songs trigger and express our emotion, but different from popular songs, the book of Psalms all directed their attention back to God. Through the interaction with God, many of the Israeli got transformed and regained their faith. Alex encouraged us to seek God in the face of struggle, and allow the spirit of God to transform us, from sadness to Praise.
Pastor Benjamin Chen shared with the 1.5 Generation Congregation at EFCI on the topic of “To do or not to do” from I Samuel 24. Pastor Benjamin reminded us that we need to have patience, and stay faithful to God’s promise in the valley of our life.

Sister Sharon Hou shared with the 1.5 Generation Congregation at EFCI on the topic of “The Soil Project” Sharon Hou reminded us that we need to be sensitive and obedient to God’s words, and constantly trying to identify and live it out. There are three symbols in this analogy, the sower, the seed and the soil. This story often refers to the person spreading gospel, the word of God, and our heart. The seeds spread by the sower are essentially the same, but they have very different outcomes because of the differences in the locations they were spread.
As Valentine’s Day draws near and many singles start to feel the pressure of not being in relationships. However, it is a good time to think about what we (singles and married) are getting ourselves into in pursuing marriage relationships. It is not a surprise that we operate on a lot of unexamined beliefs. The same goes for our beliefs about marriage. What makes some marriages work and some don’t? If your answer is good conflict resolution, communication skills, or active listening, you’re on the same boat as many people including marriage therapists who are often frustrated by how difficult it is to make marriage work even with good communication skills (Gottman & Silver, 2015).
