Event Photography 101 Workshop

1.5 Generation Multimedia team is hosting the first ever photography workshop on Sunday September 17th, 2017 in the Choir Room from 2:15PM to 4:00PM! The main purpose of this training is to equip our team members and church members on building the skillsets to take compelling images for Sunday services, in fellowships, and church related events.
Topics We Will Cover:
- Learning about how a camera sees
We will focus on the basic structure of how an image gets into the camera, key components of the camera, and how it works together. - Exposure... What is exposure...?
We will explore how light is captured in your camera, what are the settings/control you have at your disposable, how to retain the maximum amount of information for post processing. - How about them colors?
We will explore together on how your camera interprets colors, how to adjust them, and how to edit them in post. - Composition
We will talk about basic composition specifically for event photography, what are the type of shots we typically look for and cover a few popular compositions. - After we got the picture... now what?
This section will be focused around digital workflow and basic post processing of an image.
If you have additional topics you'd like to see covered, please let me know in the form below. This is an introductory workshop to provide general knowledge and understanding to get you started.
If you have a camera and would like to walk along, please feel free to do so. If you don't have a camera, your phone likely has one, so bring it with you and make sure it's charged! Camera is not required for this class.
